Team UBC Sisters Get Big Turnout for Komen Race*

On November 14, 2018, over 500 girls from vocational high schools, plus 150 staff, showed up for the Girls in Trades (GIT) conference and career fair.
A quilt raffle was how they did it! Sisters asked STLKCRCC Locals to donate their unique t-shirts for this fund-raising event.
For apprentices and potential Carpentry female candidates, a recent Survival Skills Class was the place to be.
“Shop talk started the evening, but by the next morning it was more like a family conversation,” that’s how SIB chair Cindy Franks described the Sisters’ bonfire campout experience.
