All UBC training centers use TRAIN software to schedule CITF and local training center courses, enter class completions, and process journeyman certificates.
The TRAIN program is an innovative approach to centralizing, maintaining, and tracking UBC member training information. It is a highly-customized, proprietary database that links directly to the UBC member’s Training Verification Card.
All UBC training centers use TRAIN software to schedule CITF and local training center courses, enter class completions and process journeyman certificates. TRAIN also allows centers to track specific welding certifications and enter qualifications and certifications from third-party training providers. Most programs also use TRAIN to track applicants and apprentices through the apprenticeship program. Schools and students participating in Career Connections pre-apprenticeship programs are also tracked in TRAIN.
Each UBC-affiliated training center has a TRAIN Security User who can create user logins. UBC-affiliated Training Directors may request Security User logins in writing using fund letterhead, signed by the director. All requests must be approved by the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) Executive Director.
UBC-signatory contractors may contact UBC-affiliated training centers for access to TRAIN. With contractor access to TRAIN, UBC-signatory contractors can view a UBC member’s union status, training history, and all current certifications and qualifications, without scanning a UBC member’s Training Verification Card.
UBC council and local union staff may contact UBC-affiliated training centers for access to TRAIN. With council/local union access, UBC affiliates can view a UBC member’s union status, training history, and all current certifications and qualifications, without scanning a UBC member’s Training Verification Card.
