Power industrial trucks are used to lift and move loads of various sizes and weights. The UBC Powered Industrial Truck Operator training program covers industrial fork trucks and rough terrain vehicles in accordance with CFR 1910.178, ANSI standards (B56.1 – 1969) and ASME (B56.6-1992). The training is a combination of formal classroom instruction and practical hands-on training in the use of these heavy, powerful and potentially dangerous machines. Under the direct supervision of instructors who have knowledge, training, and experience in the subject matter, UBC members are taught to assess the many hazards associated with the equipment as well as the environment. Upon program completion, UBC members are capable of operating the equipment safely and efficiently.
