On January 19, 2018, Western Massachusetts Sisters proudly hosted another Girls in Trades (GIT) job fair. Held at the Springfield Technical Community College (STCC), over 100 students attended. They interacted with coordinators of apprenticeship programs as well as contractors.

Presenters during the event included Local 336 Sisters Stephanie Stephens and Samantha Crevier. Springfield’s Mayor, Domenic Sarno, spoke as well.

The event attracted valuable media attention. Channel 22 news featured an article on its website titled: Job fair at STCC focuses on young woman finding jobs in trades.

Mass Live wrote an article as well: STCC hosts Massachusetts Girls in Trades Conference and Career Fair.

Students were interested and engaged, and everyone left feeling very pleased.
