Kristine Byers (white shirt) and Julie Sawatsky (grey shirt) joined fellow tradeswomen during Salute to the Trades night, which occurred at the British Columbia Lions football game.
Since 2011, the BC Lions have championed, “Be More than a Bystander”, an initiative that focuses on breaking the silence of violence against women. At this game, Kristine, Julie, and the other tradeswomen launched the British Columbia Centre for Women in the Trades (BCCWITT) program.
The program strives to increase the retention and advancement for women, and the Sisters are extremely excited about this new partnership.
