Carpenters Local 106 Training Center was the place where 22 high-school girls engaged in learning construction skills with Tradeswomen. The girls came from more than a dozen schools in the Des Moines, IA area.

The event was sponsored by the Iowa Department of Education, and included a partnership with the Des Moines Professional Women in Building organization.

Called “Summer Construction Camp for Girls”, North Central States Sisters were there to share their knowledge and expertise.  As these pictures show, the girls and tradeswomen embraced the experience.
