On January 7, 2019, Kristine Byers (pictured) joined other Sisters and Brothers as they honored four Carpenters who lost their lives on a Vancouver construction project. This day marked the 38th anniversary of what is known as the Bentall IV tragedy.
The Carpenters fell 36 floors to their deaths when the fly-form they were working on collapsed. They were Gunther Couvreux, Brian Stevenson, Donald Davis, and Yrjo Mitrunen.
This sad day serves as a reminder of the importance of construction safety.
