At a recent Trades Expo for high school students, SIB chair Julie Sawatsky, along with Brothers Ken Podgornik and Derrick Autzen, touted the benefits of joining the Carpenters Union. An annual event, the Expo brings blue-collar trades under one roof for two days. This year, it was held at the Cloverdale Agriplex Fairgrounds on October 25 – 26, 2018.

Julie, Ken, and Derrick offered hands-on experience to the attendees, distributed recruitment information, and discussed the benefits of a career in the trades.
