Held on March 8, 2018, the “Women Leadership Empowerment Conference” offered Pacific Northwest Sisters an opportunity to learn and network. This second annual event showcased the successes of women with non-traditional careers.
Speakers covered topics like recruitment, retention, mentoring, self-advocacy, and financial independence. The keynote speaker, Dr. Cameron Wedding, delivered a thought-provoking presentation, covering topics like stereotypes and education.
The conference also offered Sisters an opportunity to recruit women. Lisa Marx and Roxane Amaral set up organizing-tables, where they distributed information on applying for jobs and participating in apprenticeship programs.
Wanting to memorialize the event, the Sisters posed for these photos.
