Massachusetts SIB Starts PGTI Chapter

If you have a successful model, follow it – that’s what Lisa Clauson, SIB chair of Central and Western Massachusetts, believes. She put that belief into action by working with Sisters to start a Policy Group on Tradeswomen Issues (PGTI) chapter. Council SIB Coordinator, Liz Skidmore, was involved in the start-up of PGTI; an organization that has become one of the “go to” places for tradeswomen and policy makers.

The Massachusetts chapter will focus on supply and demand for women in various trades. Participants will include people interested in increasing opportunities for women in Union construction – contractors, owners, etc. And if their first meeting (where 28 people attended) is any example, the Sisters are off to a great start with their new chapter.
