How did you get into the construction industry? That’s what girls at a recent Women in Construction (WIC) event wanted to know. And three Sisters from the Western Massachusetts SIB committee were eager to tell them.

SIB chair Lisa Clauson, along with Apprentices Charlotte Ejiet and Brittney Richards, served on a panel where they answered that question by sharing their construction history. They discussed how they entered the industry, their current positions, and the skills needed to succeed.

The event was held at Girls Inc. in Worcester, MA and the girls were from the STEM program. The Sisters’ presentation was well-received, and Lisa has reached out to the Girls Inc. program of greater Lowell, MA to explore future speaking opportunities.
