Boston Sisters Talk to Parents as Outreach Initiative

When parents at Blue Hills Vocational Technical high school wanted to learn more about Union apprenticeship careers for their children, Linda Oba (Local 327) and Liz Skidmore (Local 328) stepped up to the plate. On April 4, 2018, they met with parents and shared information about Carpentry careers in the New England Regional Council.

In one photo, Linda (blue shirt), is sharing information and highlighting the benefits of a career in the trades. The other photo shows (left to right): Sarah Titus, Guidance Counselor, Lynda Oba (apprentice electrician), Linda Oba (mother of Lynda), and Liz Skidmore.

The parents showed interest and the Sisters felt the evening was worthwhile.
