United Brotherhood of Carpenters’ training is the hallmark of our union. While our members may have vastly different skill sets, they all share the pride and commitment of being the most highly trained in the most up-to-date theories and methodologies, tools, installation procedures, and safety measures.
UBC training considers the needs of our members in totality–not only in skill enhancement, but also in communication skills, applied science, personal development, technology training, leadership cultivation, and more. Read more from the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF).
Training Centers have the option to share their current class schedule with members through Online Member Class Registration. For those Training Centers that have posted their schedule, members can review the schedule and submit a request to register for classes offered at their local Training Center.
The Carpenters International Training Fund provides resources for their members to help them succeed in the workforce.
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has issued new regulations that require any U.S. apprenticeship training program that wants an exemption from filing a Form 5500 to file such requests electronically.
The Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) has previously requested and been granted an exemption from this filing. CITF files this request because this form does not directly apply to what the CITF does and is time consuming to complete and takes time and resources that are better spent on improving training for UBC members.
To comply with current DOL regulations the CITF will electronically file a request to continue this exemption and is here notifying program participants.
